On September 26, 2024, Zhou Xiaofang, Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Asia-Pacific Group (APG) of the United States and General Manager of Galaxy China (Yulin) Magnesium Science, Industry and Trade Company, went to Anhui Province for an inspection visit.

The two sides discussed strategic cooperation opportunities in the magnesium industry.

Zhou Xiaofang, Zhu Hongxia, Yang Dongjun and their entourage, were accompanied by Wang Yousheng from Qingyang County Investment Promotion Bureau and Tao Fangyou, deputy director of Qingyang County Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). They were given an in-depth understanding of Anhui Baowu Magnesium Group’s history of development, scientific and technological innovation, product application, market layout and many other topics.

Deputy general manager Zhang Shuang Hong of Anhui Treasure Magnesium Group was present for the meeting, as the two companies discussed how to maximize their respective advantages, and jointly promote the research and development of magnesium materials and application of in-depth discussion.

Anhui Baowu Magnesium Group is part of Baowu Steel, and is cooperating to build China’s magnesium industry.  With a total investment of 14.6 billion yuan (over $2 billion USD), with strong technical strength and rich industry experience, its products are widely used in automobile manufacturing, aerospace, 3C products and other fields, the company has made an important contribution to sustainable development of the industry .
